Beach

On a warm Sunday afternoon, we took a walk down the Cottesloe beach.
Hope you don't mind me sharing a little of what we saw.
We walked past the sandstone eroded cliffs first

Then climbed upon the big rocky barrier to watch...

and think and dream and enjoy good company.

We found some colorful crabs.

We watch them...carefully, quietly, so they don't run away and hide...

Mary Alice lost her purse and a bit of pride and tears

when she slipped down one of the big jagged rocks and cut open her shin.

Daddy had Eli climb down a crevice to rescue her purse while she recovered with mom...ouch.

They notice the trees nearby and people walking on the beach.
When she is mostly recovered, mom gives her a piggy back ride

down to the sand with daddy and the boys.

We walk past red beaked gulls

and see Mary Alice's smile has returned and her limp almost gone.

She carefully draws in the sand keeping her wound clean.

The boys stoop for a bit of art too.

And daddy sits down to help Mary Alice.

We always find treasure...

That's the best part of beaches!

We eventually end up with our feet in the water.

We try not to get wet...but, somehow, we always do.

The beach scene around us is always amazing

and the waves soothing and constant.

And of course I take some time to admire this man,

with his must have Aussie Hat to protect him from the penetrating sun.
