Fun with the Sheley's

Hello family! Thanks so much for taking time to be with us during our last "breeze" that took us your way. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed catching up a bit with everyone we could. Hope you enjoy the picts . . . if you have any to share, we'd love to see them. I misssed a few good occasions - Zach's birthday, a good pict of Katelyn and Mary Alice, shrinky dinks, anything else? Not sure how I missed some.

Reading with Grammie . . . quiet & calm at last!
Before that we ran at the park, dug in the garden, found "treasure"
in the empty lot, made a lot of noise, played with Grammie's toys,
tried to get along, had fun with shrinky dinks, had family night,
ate Grammies yummy food, made lots of messes . . .
Thanks Grammie for taking such good care of us.

Adam did such a good job this time, we had to get a picture or two
to show off his skill.

Winter at the Beach

One of the first places we visited in Norway was the beach.
Norway has a lot of them, and a lot of World War II history to go with them.
The boys think that is way cool and have a lot of fun exploring the old
"pill boxes" (hide outs and trenches) every time we find them.
They are solemn reminders to me of what really happened . . .


We are always very happy to see blue sky and sun in Norway
when we get it. Isn't it beautiful!


Sand, hills and plenty to find and explore . . .
perfect for the whole family.

Don't get too wet Eli! I could say that a million times,
but I don't think he ever hears it. If there is water around
or rain falling from the sky, he gets wet even in full rain gear.
We have really been working on that one,
because his feet don't like the water on them very long . . .


Cool reflections.
I should mention, this was in December. Thus the winter coats.
It was cold and frosty.
It has felt cold and frosty here lately too. Only it is June.
And we aren't wearing winter coats (except, surprisingly, Mary Alice).

Calm Waters, Crisp Spring Air and Friends

Mary Alice and I had fun taking an early spring walk on a warm sunny day with some very busy little Norwegian Friends and their mother.
We were glad to make it to our destination, the Three Swords.

There are lots of fun things to find by the fjord . . .

Especially Snails!

Our 2 little friends enjoyed lunch while Mary Alice
wrinkled her nose . . .
none of that Brown Cheese out of the tube on a sandwich for her.

(Just wanted to point out the clothing in the picts . . .
Norwegians always seem to dress very warm and are very careful
to do so, while my little Alaska gang usually thinks they are
way too hot if they are wearing more than a T-shirt!)
